By Bus

Buses are plentiful, and they’ll take you around the city or further afield to explore our beautiful county. 

In addition to the main country bus station near the hospital, there are key stops at the city bus station which is near Tesco, and on Broad Street near the cathedral or along Commercial Road.

All bus travel within Herefordshire is free at weekends, so it is easy to hop on and off any bus in the county (as many times as you like) as you explore.

By Train

Hereford Train Station connects the city with the wider country.

Not only does our rail services connect Hereford with bigger cities, like Birmingham, Manchester and Cardiff, but you can also easily travel to great local destinations, like Ludlow (famous for its food festival) and Leominster (known for its great antiques shops). 

Hereford Station is a short walk from the city centre, via Commercial Road, but also has taxi ranks and Beryl Bike bays.

The city is home to the Beryl Bike cycle sharing scheme and has bike lanes linking all districts.

You can ride along the riverbank, explore the city centre or try out some of Hereford’s trails using pedal power.
