Hereford BID is lead by business, for business
Our board of directors is comprised of up to 10 volunteers from levy-paying or stakeholder businesses in Hereford, who are deeply passionate and focused on the commercial success of Hereford. The directors meet every two months to coordinate with the Hereford BID paid staff to ensure projects continue to run effectively.
Chief Executive
Mike is responsible for the delivery of the Hereford BID Business Plan and is deeply committed to ensuring businesses receive value for money and are fully supported.
Marketing and Project Manager
Peter boosts local engagement and manages projects that enhance community connections and support economic development.
Business & Events Manager
Ryan is responsible for delivering city centre events, managing security initiatives, supporting businesses daily, and ensuring members receive responsive, practical assistance and advice.
BID Lead Handy Person
Paul is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the city centre environment, overseeing upkeep, supporting event set-up and delivering projects that improve the appearance and experience of Hereford for businesses and visitors.
BID Handy Person
Chris plays an important role in maintaining the city centre, supporting the BID team with practical tasks, enhancing public spaces and helping to keep Hereford looking welcoming for businesses, residents and visitors.
Assistant Handy Person
Our Assistant Handy Person supports the BID team in maintaining and improving the city centre, helping with daily upkeep, event preparations and projects that enhance the environment for businesses and visitors.
Hereford BID Board
Our board members represent different sectors of the business community and include independent and national retail, hospitality, professional, leisure, public and property sectors. The Board is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the BID, for its financial management and for monitoring performance to ensure that projects are delivered in accordance with the information provided in this plan.
Directors are not waged and receive no compensation, financial or other. They meet every two months to ensure that the business plan is being delivered by the Hereford BID’s dedicated paid staff, consisting of a Chief Executive, Marketing & Projects Manager, Business Liaison and Projects Marketing Executive, and a two-person Handy Team.
Retail Sector | Jackie is an established retailer, owning Make It Happen and Forever Dreams Bridal in Hereford, bringing extensive retail knowledge and business experience to the Board.
Property Owners | Communications Associate for NMITE, Hereford born Lauren is passionate about promoting the joys of life in Hereford and looks to continue supporting the growth of the city.
Hospitality & Leisure Sector | Dan is a respected hospitality manager for some of the most popular clubs, bars and pubs in Hereford. Dan also has a keen interest in security and is a member of HAND.
Retail Sector | Suzie is an experienced retail manager at New Look in High Town, bringing extensive customer service, leadership and high street retail expertise to the Board.
Property Sector | Steven Thomas is a Hereford estate agent at Watkins Thomas, bringing extensive knowledge of the local property market and valuable business insight to the Board.
Professional Services Sector | Alex Spicer works at Thomas Carroll, bringing extensive experience in insurance, risk management and professional services, providing valuable commercial insight to the Board.
Professional Services Sector | Nicholas Matthews is Office Manager at Howden Insurance, bringing extensive experience in insurance, business operations and customer service, providing valuable expertise to the Board.
Retail Sector | Amy Walker is Store Manager at TGJones, bringing extensive retail leadership, customer service and high street experience, supporting the Board with a strong understanding of local trade.
