Promoting Businesses

We use our consumer brand Hereford City Life and its marketing channels to promote BID businesses. This includes regular posts and video across our social media accounts, email newsletters to our over 13,000 subscribers, plus business listings, event features and news articles on our consumer website.

Exciting Events

Building on the success of the Ferrous Festival of Artist Blacksmithing, we are continuing to support and organise exciting events in the city that raise Hereford’s profile and encourage visitors. We will work with partners and seek additional funding from grants and sponsorship as needed to develop Ferrous and bringing other world-class events to the city centre.

Loyalty App

In 2020, we invested in a new loyalty app for the city – LoyalFree. It provides businesses in Hereford with a digital platform to help them retain local customers with loyalty offers and incentives.

Offers are promoted by Hereford City Life and LoyalFree and each business is provided with a dashboard to monitor active offers and analyse the results. The app also provides a trail function, event features and business profiles to further showcase local businesses.

Marketing for the Future

We are working with a range of local partners to create a joint marketing strategy for the city to promote all that’s good about Hereford, creating shared messaging and a coherent look and feel to convey the distinctiveness of the city.

Seasonal Marketing

The BID team promote Hereford at key dates throughout the year, including bigger and better Christmas promotions and entertainment. We strive to create and showcase exciting activities and events that will bring visitors into the city year-round.
