We use our consumer brand Hereford City Life and its marketing channels to promote BID businesses. This includes regular posts and reels across our social media accounts. We have also built up a healthy 17,500 email newsletter subscribers. All GDPR compliant, plus we hold a B2B listing, for our B2B email newsletters.
Building on the success of our seasonal events and festivals, we are continuing to support and organise exciting events in the city that raise Hereford’s profile and encourage visitors. We will work with partners and seek additional funding from grants and sponsorship as needed to develop more exciting festivals that are hosted in the city. In 2026 we will host our fist Medieval Festival, celbrating 1350 years of Hereford Cathedral.
We are work with a range of partners to create a joint marketing strategy for the city. Hereford BID is a lead partner ensuring all key events, festivals and regular activities are promoted, plus activity to convey the distinctiveness of the city. Attracting more day and stay visitors to the city is a long-term aim, with a 5-year tourism marketing strategy in place to develop and promote all opportunities.
The BID team promote Hereford at key dates throughout the year, including key Christmas period and late night shopping evenings. We strive to create and showcase exciting activities and events that will bring visitors into the city year-round.
