Edward Lear's Dream: The Owl & The Pussycat

Music, Film & Theatre, Family Friendly

The company that brought The Selfish Giant, Little Bo Peep and The Ugly Duckling are celebrating their 21st anniversary with their latest production, based on the classic children’s story of The Owl and the Pussycat.

Edward has lost his beloved cat, Foss. Tired out from writing his famous Book of Nonsense, he falls asleep at his desk. As he dreams, he journeys through magical lands meeting a host of fantastical creatures along the way, including the Quangle Wangle, the Jumblies and the Fissgigious Fish.

Edward Lear’s Dream is told with a cast of handmade
tabletop puppets, an innovative stage set and a unique
musical soundtrack, featuring six new songs to Lear’s much celebrated poems and limericks.

Edward Lear’s Dream (The Owl and the Pussycat) will be in The Courtyard’s Studio Theatre on Saturday 17 September at
11 am. To book tickets, or for more information contact the Box Office on 01432 340555 or visit www.courtyard.org.uk.
