BEER ON THE WYE

Over 135 different beers (of every conceivable style, hue and strength) from the length of breath of the nation will feature on the main Beer Bar - a leviathan of barrels stretching for over 120 feet. Included is the ever-popular Herefordshire Brewers’ Bar, where you can try some of the very best wares from our county brewers.

The team from the Hereford Beer House will be bringing their wealth of experience to the International beer bar this year, so look out for what will be an amazing selection of beers from across the world. There really is something for everyone – whatever your taste in beer.

CIDER ON THE WYE

To showcase Herefordshire’s cider heritage we aim to bring you over 130 different cider and perries to try again this year. A hundred of these are from Herefordshire producers with some excellent offerings from outside the county too.

Again we shall be hosting the prestigious CAMRA West Midlands Cider and Perry competition, winners of which will go through to the national stages.

People come from all over the UK (nay the world) to see (and try!) the largest selection of Herefordshire draught ciders and perries ever assembled under one roof. It all makes for a most impressive sight (and taste).

CHILLED ON THE WYE

It is important that the beers, cider and perries and served in tip-top condition, so all of them are chilled.

This means your beer or cider is served in your glass just right every time for sitting on the grass and watching the waters on the river amble by.

RELAX ON THE WYE

With its wonderful laid-back atmosphere set in a riverside meadow in the historic heart of Hereford, Beer on the Wye has become a ‘must-do’ festival for many. People come from near and far. Last year over 6,000 people attended over the three days and drank between them over 21,000 pints – and this year we are expecting more people to drink more beer and cider! And we’re proud to boast that it’s always incident-free. It’s just a great event in a fabulous location.

FAMILY FUN ON THE WYE

We’re proud that Beer on the Wye is a family-friendly event. It’s always trouble-free and we are happy to admit accompanied, well-behaved children up to 6pm. However, the best time for families is without doubt our popular Family Fun Day on the Sunday.

Run by our festival charity, HOPE Support Services, The Family Fun Day runs from 12noon until 5pm and admission is only £3; accompanied kids for free. Parents can relax and enjoy some of the many beers, ciders and perries at a discounted price, whilst the little ones get to enjoy the bags full of entertainment and activities laid on for them.

Activities include a children’s entertainment, face-painting and many other fun activities with some acoustic music to complete the picture. There is festival fruit punch, soft drinks, crisps, ice-cream and a sweetie van on site.

CAMPING ON THE WYE ***BOOK EARLY & ONLY ONLINE***

Camping can only be BOOKED ONLINE, so we strongly recommend booking your pitch as soon as possible, you will not be able to just turn up on the day. As you know pitches go really quickly as everyone loves to stay in the festival village.

The festival village camping area is operated independently from Beer on the Wye by Hereford Rowing Club (HRC), who manage it and are responsible for the facilities provided.

Hereford Rowing Club is ideally situated as a campsite, being only a very short walk from the centre of Historic Hereford and all the amenities you would expect from supermarkets to restaurants yet is still in a very rural setting. Located on the banks of the river Wye it's an ideal spot. With ample parking, changing rooms, showers, (disabled toilets not 24hrs), WIFI and a bar.

Please note there is no electric hook up, but there are showers, toilets, sinks and water points all with 24 hour access.

Breakfast is also served in the Hereford Rowing Club Bar/Lounge Saturday and Sunday mornings from 8.30am till 11.30am - no need to book.

Visit the Hereford Rowing Club website to book your spot: https://www.herefordrc.co.uk/campsite
