The Opportunity
The Coffee Cart Company is looking for a hands-on Hospitality Technology & Operations Project Manager to complete and embed a major technology and operational transformation programme across our growing independent hospitality business.
This is not a consultancy role. We are looking for an implementer - someone who joins the dots, solves problems and gets projects over the line.
We have already selected and begun implementing our core hospitality technology across operations, stock, recipes, workforce, POS, payments, loyalty/CRM, digital ordering, online sales and management reporting. Your job is to bring those elements together and make sure they work properly in the real world of hospitality.
Your Six-Month Mission
Complete, stabilise and embed Coffee Cart's technology-enabled operating model so that the business has reliable systems, trusted management information, clear processes and a team capable of operating them successfully.
• Complete and optimise core hospitality system implementation and integrations
• Establish reliable reporting across sales, GP, stock, waste, labour, recipes and commercial KPIs
• Validate data quality and resolve gaps or implementation issues with technology partners
• Embed practical SOPs, workflows and management routines
• Train managers and teams and drive genuine operational adoption
• Ensure digital ordering, loyalty/CRM and customer-facing technology work as intended
• Create a clear business-as-usual handover at the end of the project
What We Are Looking For
You might come from hospitality technology, systems implementation, restaurant/cafe operations, digital transformation, project management or hospitality software. We are also open to an exceptional hospitality management, hospitality technology, business or digital graduate with the confidence and curiosity to own a substantial real-world project.
• Strong understanding of hospitality operations
• Confidence with technology, data and software
• Strong organisation and project-management ability
• Comfort working directly with technology suppliers and operational teams
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of hospitality KPIs
• A practical, analytical and persistent approach to problem-solving
Above all, we are looking for a doer: someone who enjoys taking something that is 70% complete and getting it to 100%.
Location & Working Pattern
This is an operationally embedded role based in Herefordshire. Some focused work can be done remotely, but this is not a predominantly remote position. The successful candidate will be expected to work from Coffee Cart HQ and across our operating locations for a minimum of three days per week.
Package
• 6-month fixed-term contract
• £35,000-£45,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience
• Up to £4,000 project completion bonus linked to agreed delivery milestones
• Potential progression into a longer-term Coffee Cart Project Manager role following successful delivery
