'From Constantinople to Jerusalem - by bicycle!'

Friends lecture in College Hall, 7pm

Nearly 60 years ago, Andrew Talbot-Ponsonby set out from Istanbul on a three-seater bicycle (a long tandem) to cycle to Jerusalem. This was the first of his visits to the Middle East, resulting in a life-long passion for the countries and places of the Holy Land. In an illustrated talk Andrew will describe that journey with original photographs from 1963, and others taken on pilgrimages led there since.

Wine/soft drinks/savouries included in the cost of £10 per member in advance (£12 guests / door).

This event has been organised by the Friends of Hereford Cathedral. Tickets can be applied for in writing with an SAE and cheque made payable to the Friends of Hereford Cathedral. Please send to The Friends Office, 5 College Cloisters, Cathedral Close, Hereford, HR1 2NG.
