Popular Hereford Eatery Reopens at New Location
Fans of popular Hereford eatery, Sensory & Rye, will be thrilled to learn that it will be opening the doors at its new location on Commercial Street on 17th June 2022, with a soft-launch available to book the day before.
At the end of May, Sensory & Rye said goodbye to their Union Street premesis, where they have been based for the last 5 years, in preparation of opening their brand new location.
Since we last visited, almost one year ago, the Sensory & Rye team have been hard at work transforming the site of an old British Heart Foundation furniture store into another impressive Urban Eatery. Like many others, we have been (im)patiently waiting to hear when this brilliant venue would be officially open, so we were excited to hear that it's offical opening day would be Friday 17th June 2022!
Located just across the road from their old shop on Union Street, this new premesis boasts a bigger space and tons more potential. We've been teased with sneak previews of what's inside via Sensory & Rye's Instagram page and know that we will be in for a treat when we visit.

We visited for their soft launch and were thrilled to see the same attention to detail and urban style we've come to love from Sensory & Rye. This bigger space looked great and full of character; we loved the contrast of the concrete floor, leather chairs and luscious foliage.
'But what about the food?!', we hear you cry. Well, as expected the food and drink was the usual high standard we've come to expect of Sensory & Rye. Their new menu has some great options, whether you are looking for breakfast, brunch, lunch or just a great cup of coffee. We also loved that they showcased their commitment to locally sourced ingredients with a dedicated page inside the menu too.
Looking for some suggestions? Our recommendations for lunch would be the Salt Beef Burger or the Halloumi Loaded Pitta, but we'll be heading back to try their brunch options soon!
