Dinosaurs are returning to the city centre this summer!

Tons of dinosaur-themed fun for families during the 2023 summer holidays!

We are very excited to confirm that our popular Hereford Dino Trail will be back this summer, alongside two fantastic family events. We are teaming up with lots of incredible local organisations to make this Hereford’s best summer yet!

The interactive Hereford Dino Trail, which last year saw over 175 groups taking part, will run from 26th July until 3rd August on the LoyalFree app. Families will use the app to explore Hereford and uncover prehistoric facts before collecting a prize from Hereford Tourist Information Centre. As an extra special addition to this year’s trail, each location will have its own dinosaur themed window illustrations too! To start, open the app and click on the Trails section of the app to find Hereford Dino Trail or visit www.loyalfree.co.uk to download the app.

In addition to our fun trail, we’re bringing back Dino Days! Parents are invited to bring their budding palaeontologists to discover walkabout raptors, fossil hunting and children’s workshops.

Our first event on 19th August, will see our dinosaur activities on the Cathedral Close as part of Hereford Cathedral’s Saturday Spectacular event, followed on 26th August by a Dino Day extravaganza in High Town. These two events will include Dinosaur stage performances, live music, roaming dinosaurs and a prehistoric mural workshop!

All of Hereford City Life’s dinosaur activities are completely free to enjoy and more information about each event can be found on our What’s On page.
