Autumn Promotions 2022

The Hereford BID team are busy looking ahead to autumn and are pleased to share more information about their promotional plans for the city centre.

Hereford AppleFest

We are proud to be able to support Hereford City Council’s upcoming festival - Hereford AppleFest.

As part of this, we are organising two trails on the LoyalFree app and encourage businesses to take part. The trails will run from 26th September 2022.

Amazing Apples Trail

This interactive trail is designed for families. They can explore Hereford and hunt for the Amazing Apples hidden in local business windows. At each location, participants will be able to learn apple facts by scanning the QR codes before heading to the Tourist Information Centre to collect a prize. Participating businesses must be able to have the display apple in their window for the duration of the trail (approximately 3 weeks).

Hereford Loves Apples Trail

This trail is designed for adults. Visitors can discover locations around the city centre that celebrate the apple through this list trail. Featured businesses must offer items that relate to the apple theme, for example, apple-based food and drink.

If you would like to take part in either of our Apple trails, please get in touch.

Halloween 2022

This year our Halloween spook-tacular is back and bigger than ever, with great activities to encourage visitors into the city centre during the holidays.

Scarecrow Trail

For October Half Term, we are bringing our popular ‘Freaky Fruit & Veg’ Scarecrow Trail back to the city centre as a fun, free activity for families. This is a great opportunity for businesses to take part and host one of our 8 scarecrows. Any businesses interested in participating should contact the BID team but please note that the scarecrows are approximately 6 feet tall and require space around them for supporting bales.

City Centre Activities

To encourage visitors into the city, on Saturday 29th October, we will be hosting a day filled with Halloween activities, including a Kids' Zombie Parade, a dance performance, live music, and the Best Carved Pumpkin Competition.
