Hereford Xmas Shop Window Awards Results 2022
Hereford has had its say in the Best Xmas Shop Window Awards, with The Children’s Bookshelf and Principality Building Society voted the public favourites in the Independent and National categories, respectively.
Now in its fourth year, the awards, organised by Hereford City Life, provided opportunity for the public show their support for local businesses during the festive season. A great variety of Hereford businesses took part, submitting images of their decorated store fronts to be added to the Facebook album and LoyalFree trail for the public to cast their votes. The contest ran from mid-November to the 21st December.
The results for the Public’s Choice were:
Independent Category
Winner: The Children’s Bookshelf
Runners-up: June Lacy Gowns and Hey Honey
National Category
Winner: Principality Building Society
Runners-up: Blue Cross and Pandora
In addition to the Public’s Choice vote, this year the Best Xmas Shop Window Awards held a separate Judge’s Choice, with businesses shortlisted and chosen by Judges, including the Bishop of Hereford, the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Hereford and the team from Your Herefordshire. Windows were assessed based on their creativity, innovation and overall festiveness.

National Category
Winner: White Stuff
Runners-up: Principality and Seasalt
“We were really thrilled with the turnout for this year’s Best Xmas Shop Window Awards,” said Rhiannon, Marketing Manager for Hereford City Life, “not only did we see the highest number of businesses enter, we had the highest number of votes ever for the public portion of the awards, with over 2000 votes cast - a great show of support for businesses.”
